Mai 2008) — Mit Veröffentlichung der neuesten Version von Apples Mac OSX 10.5.3 (Leopard) ist es Digidesign nun möglich, auch Pro Tools LE und M-Powered auf dieser Plattform anzubieten. Eine neue Pre-Release-Version der Pro Tools-Software, Pro Tools 7.4.2pr, ist ab sofort verfügbar und bietet nun auch erweiterte Kompatibilität mit Mac OS X 10.5.3 Leopard. Pro Tools 7.4.2PR wurde speziell für Pro Tools 7.4-Anwender mit Mac-Host-Rechnern entwickelt, die das neue Betriebssystem Leopard bereits jetzt — vor Erscheinen einer umfassend getesteten und entsprechend qualifizierten Pro Tools-Version — einsetzen möchten.
Die Pro Tools 7.4.2pr Software steht ausschließlich als Download-Version zur Verfügung und erfordert Mac OS X 10.5.3. Bitte beachten Sie, dass Pro Tools 7.4.2pr nicht mit früheren Leopard-Versionen kompatibel ist.

Over the last several months, we have been working closely with Apple on fine tuning Pro Tools for OS X Leopard 10.5.3. Now that Apple has released version 10.5.3 we can enter the final stages of performance testing and quality assurance before making fully qualified versions of Pro Tools HD, LE and M-Powered software available to our customers.
As a convenience for our customers who may wish to begin their transition to Apple’s latest Leopard release as soon as possible, pre-release versions of Pro Tools 7.4.2 will be made available in the next few days. While the pre-release versions of Pro Tools 7.4.2 have passed core internal testing requirements, the process for manufacturing fully qualified Pro Tools software normally takes up to several weeks to complete depending on performance and stability.
